Spring Fundraiser Success

Thanks to all of the supportive people that showed up at our fundraising event on May 22nd, we were able to raise $1200 for our scholarship fund! The Earth Camp Collective served up some good ‘ol homemade organic pasta while Coyote Grace rocked the barn with their sweet, deep folksy tunes. A good time was had by all and we and the members of Coyote Grace agreed that this should be an annual event. This event helped bring our grand total for our spring fundraising effort to over $2000!

On June 1st, the directors, teachers, and staff of Earth Camp sat down to read through the plethora of scholarship applications that we’ve received. We regret not being able to award every scholarship that was applied for, but are super-happy to announce that we were able to give out scholarships to 12 different students, which will enable them to attend our Summer Sustainability Camp beginning in mid-June.

We will continue to accept donations and gifts toward scholarships and we will continue to run our very successful CRV recycling program here at Laguna farm. All donations that come in from now on will be applied to scholarships for next year’s programs.

Thank you everyone for your support!

2011 Fundraiser Goal: $10,000 Support for low-income families

Earth Camp has set an annual fundraiser goal of $10,000. We are raising this money to support and empower the low-income members of our community. It is one of our long term goals, that as our organization grows, we not only continue to make our programs more dynamic and fun, but more accessible to the families of our community that cannot afford the $200 to $250 cost to attend camp.

The $10,000 will be used to offer 25 full and 50 partial scholarships to our students in need. Your contribution today will help provide transformative experiences for the children in our community this summer. We do, of course, except donations at any level, but please consider the following tiers:

                $20 - Water (micro-donation)
            $50 - Air (quarter scholarship)
                $100 - Earth (half scholarship)
                $200 - Fire (full scholarship)

To donate by credit or debit card, please contact the Sebastopol Community Center at (707) 823-1511.
This is an opportunity to transform the lives of children living in our communities. Thank you so much for your support!
